DISCUSSION

The above cover artwork is by artist Frederick Kirberger. A convict rests chained to a tiny asteroid somewhere in space. His incarceration includes sufficient oxygen for his prison term. Most amusing regarding the technical merits of such a "prison cell" are the leg irons. Where in the Universe could he possibly escape to if he broke free of his chains? There is no evident propulsion or guidance system to transport his asteroid to freedom. No. 5271009 is, indeed, no longer a threat to society in such a setting.
