DISCUSSION

The above Wonder Book published by Rockhill Radio Recording, copyright, 1953, was authored by Marcia Martin with pictures by Frank Vaughn. It was originally titled Tom Corbett's Wonder Book of Space. Note the cover artwork. Tom Corbett and his two young friends wear "work gloves" which appear to simply pull on as one would don garden gloves. We know this would not effectively seal a space suit. Additionally, no plumbing seems to connect the suit air tanks to their space helmets. The numerous ports on the helmets are truly a mystery. According to the story, the helmets are made of glass, not a good choice should one trip and fall while exploring the Moon.
