SPACE TRAVEL (children's book circa 1969)
SPACE TRAVEL by Jeanne Bendick Copyright 1969 by Franklin Watts, Inc.
DISCUSSION
The above cover picture shows a pair of Apollo astronauts conducting
scientific experiments on the Moon's surface. Their lunar lander stands
ready for the return trip to Earth. Though the lander's ladder has too few
steps compared to the actual craft, its structure is fairly accurately drawn.
Unfortunately, like the majority of pictures including the Earth above a
lunar scene, the Earth's terminator is incorrectly drawn. It should be
horizontal to the scene rather than vertical.
