GALLERY OF NEWSWEEK SPACE COVERS
The NEWSWEEK cover of the July 21, 1969 issue featured Neil
Armstrong. Contents of the magazine included a detailed description of the
Apollo 11 lunar landing mission. Profiles of the three Apollo 11 astronauts
and their families were among the magazine's featured articles.
The August 11, 1969 NEWSWEEK displayed a photo of the second man on
the Moon, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, standing on the Moon's surface. The article
detailed events of the mission, photos taken by the astronauts, and a
description of what was discovered.
