EXPLORING SPACE ( A Ladybird 'Achievements' Book) circa 1964
EXPLORING SPACE by Roy Worvill, Publishers: Ladybird Books Ltd., Copyright
1964.
DISCUSSION
Books about the beginnings of manned space exploration written for young
children encouraged an interest in science. Most dealt with the subjects
of astronomy, rocketry, and what it was like being an astronaut.
The above book told the story of space achievement including plans to put a
man on the Moon. Each page of text was accompanied by superb full-color
illustrations by B. Knight and B.H. Robinson.
