APOLLO 13 MOVIE PROPS/center>
FROM SPACE CENTER HOUSTON EXHIBIT
The above articles were props from the movie APOLLO 13. Among the
items are uprighting floats for the floating capsule, a parachute (three
parachutes brought the capsule through Earth's atmosphere), a liferaft in
which the crew waited while each crewmember was lifted in the basket (at
left) into the heliocopter hovering overhead.
The above astronaut training suits were used by actors in the
making of the movie, APOLLO 13.
